Retailers begrijpen het nog steeds niet

ICPM Solutions' Blog

Festivalitis in Wonderland

Hi everyone,

Last weekend I’ve been invited by the great woodlover-guys from Kerbholz to a mystery location in Cologne, also known as ‘Wonderland’ (Yeah I’m still in the Alice-vibe). They organized a little festival on a private location.

You name it, I’ve seen it!

A wooden pony, a crashed airplane, a crane, an old Volkswagen-van, a unicorn and dinosaurs everywhere..

As a proof, I took pictures, enjoy this fairy world, I did to 🙂

I shopped in a Fashionista’s closet!

Dear Fair ladies,

I’ve talked with you about a couple of tricks to consume in a smarter and more fairer way. Because when you feel the urge to shop, there are still a lot of fair possibilities, one of them is shopping in another Fashionista’s closet, as you can read HERE

About that..I’d like to share some outfits I made with a vintage Escada blazer I bought on Fashionup from another Fashionista (Blogster) : Lima Ché

I styled it in 2 different ways :

Blazer : Vintage Escada / FauxFur : Barts / Belt : Atelier Anvertsoie / Purse : Essentiel / Pants : Alchemist / Shirt : H&M / Shoes : Jhay_MG_6141_MG_6166_MG_6184_MG_6203_MG_6219Blazer : Vintage Escada / Pants : Alchemist / Scarf : Hellen van Berkel / Shoes : BCBG By Max Azria / Purse : Handmade purse bought in Londen Spittafields Market

Last call for present hunters!

For all you wonderful fair people out there, I present to you one last treasure-hunt-tip for (your) man :

Go for wood !

Wooden accessories often create a cool and sophisticated appearance without a snobistic or a too-much-yuppie-look and that….. I like 🙂

What I also like is the wonderful story of three German friends who decided to built a label with wooden accessories out of a great idea of sustainability: for each product that you’re buying from Kerbholz , they plant a tree in Central America.

My man is already responsible for one watch-tree, what about yours? 🙂

A couple of my favorites! I bought my man the darkbrown one on the left, he loves it :-) A couple of my favorites!

A Walk in the Park with Barbara Munsel

mhhhhh a nice article about eco fashion and also a bit about us..

Favorite DressThe word is out : I’m totally in love with the elegant, timeless style of Mrs. Zero-Waste-Method : Barbara Munsel.

I had a lovely talk with the lady and a walk in the park with one of her beautiful designs of this wintercollection : The winered T-shirt dress.

I styled it myself and as you can see : Fair clothes aren’t dull at all 😉

Information about the Fairness :

As you read in my article how do I know that my favorite label cares it is possible for us, as consumers,  to find out more information about brands. Unfortunately not every brand is already rated or represented in fair fashion apps (like Talking Dress, Rank a Brand, Milieucentraal, Fair Fashion app, for links click here) So in that case…

Zero Waste Fashion : Interview with Barbara Munsel

Barbara's favorite Kimono Jacket of the Wintercollection 2014-2015! Barbara’s favorite Kimono Jacket from the Winter Collection 2014-2015

A Designer with a beautiful Heart

As an (not so secret anymore) admirer of Barbara Munsels work, I see it as my duty to spread her Fashionlove with you!

Barbara Munsel does – as a winner of the Ethical Fashion Award in 2011 – a very good job presenting an ethical fashion line by using the zero-waste method. This method implies the use of reclaimed fabrics in her collections as well as high-end, prêt-á-porter end of roll fabrics.  She also incorporates antique and reclaimed fabrics and ecological materials such as natural and organic fabrics which she hand prints with water-based inks on a regular basis.

What are you -as a designer- the most proud of?

People wearing my designs – boutiques buying my collection – to be asked for interviews 🙂

What is your personal definition of fair clothing? Where lies your accent?

Fashionista’s Closet

this girl gets it

Do you like an introduction to this article? Press here.

Are you a fashion victim? If you’re quite familiar with the following situation, than I think we have an answer:

You really appreciate the nice choice of fabrics, the great lining and the fine design of clothing. There is always somewhere a perfect piece of clothing which without your closet can’t be considered complete. And while you read this, you are already dreaming about it, your stomach fills itself with a butterfly-like feeling, you get that happy glow on your cheeks, your eyes start to sparkle and your mind is all of a sudden in a state of woozyness and somewhere in the middle of *labelheaven*.

Cause ow yeah you have something on your imaginary list that is perfect, that is soft, that is nice and looks surprisingly well with at least 3 other items in your closet.. oh god yes…
